Paphos is a city on the southwest coast of Cyprus, the Mediterranean island. Inhabited since Neolithic times, Paphos has several sites relating to the cult of the goddess Aphrodite, whose mythical birthplace was at Old Paphos (Kouklia).

New Paphos is the modern city that incorporates the harbor. It’s also home to Paphos Archaeological Park, encompassing ancient ruins of tombs, fortresses, theaters and villas.
